Come Toward the Fire 2026 Festival
Mark your calendar for the 5th annual ʔəm̓i ce:p xwiwəl (Come Toward the Fire) Festival hosted at the Chan Centre! Enjoy a celebration of Indigenous culture, creativity, and community, featuring Indigenous talent from across the continent. Presented in partnership with Musqueam, this year’s festival brings together more than two dozen Indigenous artists for three days of exciting, family-friendly programming.

September 30th
I am so honoured to be speaking on September 30 for my community at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre in Whistler.
September 30 is more than a day of reflection, it is a call to learn, listen, and act. The stories we have been taught, and the responsibility we all have to create change.
Truth must come before reconciliation. And education is one place where that work can begin.

I’ll be sharing ideas from Re-Storying Education and exploring how we can move beyond simply adding Indigenous content to intentionally weaving Indigenous pedagogies, relationships, and ways of knowing into our everyday practice.
